Born in Calgary and raised in Thunder Bay, Lauren’s entry into country music was encouraged by her “Pure Country” belt buckle-wearing country artist grandfather to sing and she hasn’t stopped. The songwriting bug also took hold with Lauren working through life in her lyrics. She has followed through on the promise to herself and family to obtain a University Degree (B.A.- Music) and pursue her career in country music.



“RULES NEED REBELS”, is the new uplifting single from Lauren Mayell that connects to listeners sense of their own individuality. This is Lauren’s 6th release to Canadian Radio. It was produced by Jeff Johnson (Wes Mack, George Canyon, Meghan Patrick) and mixed by 2018 CCMA award winner Jeff Dalziel (Washboard Union, Dan Davidson).

To date Lauren has over 4000 spins at radio including 1500 spins at BDS/Nielson monitored stations.

Lauren’s 2018 has been a busy year, having completed a tour of BC, Alberta and Saskatchewan in May 2018 followed by a busy summer festival season along with continued songwriting in Nashville and Canada for the remainder of 2018. Lauren released her New Single “SAY IT” to radio on May 07, from her upcoming album. “SAY IT” is a mid-tempo, fun summer song.  This release was also be accompanied by a feature music video. “SAY IT” is Lauren’s 5th release to Canadian Radio.
